Brisbane’s gay hiking challenge for 2024.

Want to get outdoors and see more of the South East?

Strap in for an exciting new hiking challenge by Tom Social, designed to get you seeing more of the great outdoors while staying active and meeting new people.

What is Hike 100?

Hike 100 is Tom Social’s new hiking challenge – where the more you hike, the more points you accumulate. Challenge yourself to see more and do more in 2024. When you complete our monthly hike, you’ll score points based on the difficulty and length of the hike. Those who provide an official carpool will also get bonus points as a little token of our appreciation. At the end of the hiking season in November, we’ll announce the winners of the challenge – those who surpass 100 points. There are great prizes on offer including Kathmandu gift vouchers and Tom Social event passes.

How do I join?

Hike 100 is free for all Tom Social members. To join Tom Social, simply click here. Once you’re a Tom Social member, join our next hike (see upcoming events here) and we will catch up with you in person to set up scoring.

I haven’t done many hikes, should I still join in?

Yes! Our hikes usually range from easy to moderate with only very few that are difficult. As long as your fitness level is at medium or above, you should be fine to join us. Each hike, we provide a run down on length and difficulty to give you an idea of what to expect. There is usually minimal rock climbing and these parts are usually optional.

I’m new to Tom Social, should I still join?

Absolutely, we highly recommend our hikes as a way to meet and get to know other members. We also think carpooling with others to hikes is a perfect opportunity to get to know others before starting the hike.
